While growing up in Baltimore, Mike had always craved the concept of becoming a genre filmmaker, with particular emphasis on comedy, fantasy, and horror. His short film “Titans of Newark” screened at over 25 major entertainment showcases, winning awards including "Best Humor Film" at San Diego Comic-Con Independent Film Festival and being nominated for "Best Casting in a Short" by the prestigious Casting Society of America against the works of Bryce Dallas Howard and Olivia Wilde.
